Support Independent Music

Why should I have to pay for music?
In order to create music, artists' have to spend a lot time and money out of their own pockets. If you get something for free you are denying the artists the payback they deserve for putting in all their time and money.

Music is their work. Much the same as working at a grocery store, in a factory or at a hospital allows you get a paycheck every week. Artists, writers, musicians put in countless hours learning their craft, practicing hours upon hours, writing and re-writing trying to bring excellence to what they do so that you can sit back and enjoy it. Do you think that is worth something?

If you really like an artist and would like to hear more from them then you need to support their effort otherwise at some point they'll run out of money or time or just get discouraged and won't be able to continue to create and provide new music.

If you love music, then why not allow it to continue? If your going to add something to your rotation then by all means let the artist know you care by paying the small fee that is asked for. Support Independent Music!

What about Record Companies?
Music costs money to produce and to get it into the hands of the consumer. If all music is free then there is no incentive for a company to go find great talent, cultivate it, produce it and offer it to the public. Because they do the legwork, we are able to hear the "cream of the crop" a lot easier than if we had to go find it ourselves.

In the past Record Companies tried to find the best talent, develop kit, produce it and offer it to the public. Record companies produced albums where you could get several songs from a top tiered artist. But over time the public's tastes changed and the technology to provide the public with what they wanted wasn't available. People wanted to buy perhaps just one song from an album but couldn't always do it. As ways were developed to allow people access to get just one song, companies started offering the music for free relying on advertisers or subscriptions to make their money but denying those who created the song nothing.

The music industry is constantly changing trying to meet the demands of the public. Record Companies are trying to change. Allowing them to continue will allow for more artists to take a chance, spend the money, get their voices heard and perhaps get a record deal where they can gain fame and worldwide exposure. When that happens more artists take that chance. As the music industry evolves both Independent Artists and Record Companies serve a purpose for one another. Your support will allow the process to continue giving you greater and greater choices in the music you want to hear.

Please do your part and contribute. Let the music for you continue to be a new, exciting, and ever changing journey!
